JCOVENANT
Terms of Service
Last updated: August 31, 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of JCovenant, a Christian matrimony service for people in India, and its website, applications, and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and account responsibility
You must be at least 18 years old, legally capable of entering into a contract, and seeking a lawful marriage relationship in India. You must provide accurate, current information and keep it updated. You are responsible for your account, password, and activity performed through your account. Do not share credentials or create an account for another person without their informed permission.
3. Profiles and verification
You may own more than one profile only where the Service permits it and each profile represents a real person who has consented. We may request identity or age verification, including Aadhaar-based verification where enabled. Identity documents are used for verification and must not be uploaded as profile content. Verification does not guarantee that information supplied by a member is true, safe, or complete, and does not constitute an endorsement or background check. You own your profile information and may update it through the Service; JCovenant helps maintain and display it according to your settings and these Terms.
4. Safe and lawful use
You must use the Service honestly and lawfully. You must not harass, threaten, abuse, impersonate, defraud, exploit, discriminate against, or stalk another person; misrepresent your identity or marital status; request money or financial benefits through deception; upload unlawful, sexually exploitative, hateful, or infringing material; scrape or reverse engineer the Service; or publish another person's private information without consent. Never share Aadhaar numbers, passwords, one-time passwords, payment details, or access tokens with another member.
5. Content and member interactions
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant JCovenant a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, display, and transmit that content as necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Service. You are responsible for having the rights and consent required for anything you upload. You are solely responsible for decisions and interactions with other members. JCovenant does not guarantee compatibility, contact, engagement, marriage, or the accuracy of member information. You may ignore a profile so that it no longer appears in your search, where that feature is available.
6. Fair access and respectful contact
JCovenant does not offer premium, elite, or preferential profile packages. Subject to the Service's eligibility and safety rules, members receive the same opportunity to view the applicable profile list. Do not use the Service for spam, bulk messages, unsolicited or repeated calls, or unwanted contact. Respect another member's decision not to respond or to stop communicating.
7. Review, reporting, and removal
Profiles may be reviewed before discovery. We may hide, reject, suspend, or remove profiles, content, or accounts when we reasonably believe they breach these Terms, threaten safety, violate law, or create operational risk. Report scams, harassment, suspected underage users, impersonation, or unsafe conduct through the in-app reporting tools or at [SUPPORT EMAIL]. Reporting an invalid profile helps protect other members, but you remain responsible for your own decisions and interactions. If there is an immediate threat to safety, contact local emergency services and the relevant law-enforcement authority.
8. Fees and cancellations
JCovenant does not sell premium or elite access. We may charge a nominal fee to support infrastructure, verification, moderation, and the work required to maintain the Service. Any fee, applicable taxes, what it covers, payment method, and refund or cancellation terms will be shown clearly before payment. You authorise the applicable payment provider to charge the selected amount. Refunds are governed by the offer shown at purchase and applicable Indian consumer law. We do not store payment secrets in member profiles.
9. Privacy and electronic communications
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, to the extent it applies. By using the Service, you consent to receive service-related notices electronically. You may opt out of promotional communications where provided, but essential account and security messages may still be sent.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, branding, design, and original content, is owned by or licensed to JCovenant and is protected by applicable law. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of the Service.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion through the account deletion process. We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or enforcement of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including privacy, intellectual property, liability, and dispute provisions, will survive termination.
12. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or verify every statement, image, or action of every member. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Indian law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, JCovenant is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-profit damages arising from member interactions or use of the Service.
13. Governing law and complaints
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer or other statutory rights, courts at [CITY, STATE, INDIA] will have jurisdiction. For complaints or grievances, contact the grievance officer at [GRIEVANCE OFFICER NAME AND EMAIL], [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. We will handle complaints in accordance with applicable Indian law and publish any legally required response timelines.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service or applicable law. We will post the updated version and revise the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice. Continued use after the effective date means that you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Service.
